La Rosiere ski resort is set high above the Tarantaise valley giving it some of the most stunning views in the Alps, with Mont Blanc in one direction and the resort of Les Arcs in the other. La Rosiere’s slopes are sunny and often receive lots of fresh snow and the resort is linked to the Italian resort of La Thuile which together form the ‘Espace San Bernardo’ ski area. This offers an impressive 150km of slopes and allows you to discover the very best of both French and Italian culture.

La Rosiere has good nursery slopes and rates highly for Intermediate skiers and boarders. For the experts, there are 12 black runs as well as a fully patrolled off piste snowzone. There is also the opportunity to heliski here due to its location as a border village.

The village is built in a traditional French style and feels a lot more authentic than some neighbouring resorts. There are the usual range of off mountain activities and although it is a relatively quiet resort, it still has a few good bars and many good value restaurants. It is a friendly resort particularly well suited to families due to its child care.

To conclude, a great value resort and well worth thinking about for a change from the other high French resorts due to its Italian connection.
